Students will experience the cultural and historical wonders of Kyoto, Japan’s ancient capitol and home to numerous temples, historical sites, civic and artistic institutions. Kyoto is also a bustling modern metropolis. Students also experience the legal com- munity in Kyoto and the Kansai region, which includes Kobe and Osaka. Admissions are on a rolling basis.
Our summer program in Tokyo presents an opportunity to study law in a fascinating city that remains one of the world’s economic and financial centers. The core three-week, 4-unit class introduces students to the Japanese legal system and explores current issues in international trade and intellectual property law. Students may elect to take a 1-unit class in Japanese patent and copyright law.
Temple University Beasley School of Law maintains a campus in Tokyo Japan. Stu- dents enroll in up to 15 credits for the Spring semester. On Campus Interviewing is offered resulting in the placement of a large portion of enrolled students in internships with public and private law entities.
