The Summer Program in Chile/Argentina offers opportunities to learn and network with dozens of leading faculty, practitioners, government officials, and policy makers in Santiago, Chile and in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Students acquire knowledge of the legal aspects of trade and investment in Latin America and a better understanding of the social, legal, and political developments of the region.

Currently in its 27th year, this ABA-accredited program is intended to provide law students with an educational experience in which they will come to understand the Canadian politi- cal and legal systems at work and foster an appreciation of Canadian social, cultural, and political institutions and character.
Students have the opportunity to study cut- ting edge topics in comparative and interna- tional law, while interacting with prominent U.S. and Canadian law professors. The Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa teaches both common law and civil law, and provides a unique opportunity to study both legal systems. Classes are in English, but some may be taken in French.
