Earn 4 summer credits in 4 weeks while studying on the French Riviera, in the city of Nice. The courses have an international fo- cus and compare American and European ap- proaches to law. Classes are held mornings only and are taught in English. Highlights include distinguished guest speakers in the field of international law, a day in the French court, an optional French class offered at no charge.


Held in London, Brussels, Paris, and Geneva, the Summer Program in Europe introduces law students and attorneys to evolving legal concepts and structures in Europe and in the international arena. Now in its 18th year, the program focuses on the nature and dynamics of European legal institutions and the devel- opment of a body of European laws.


In an international, culturally rich environ- ment, Cornell’s excellent faculty join with the Univ. of Paris I and international guest lectur- ers; private tours of the Cour de Cassation (France’s highest court), the Conseil d’Etat (the highest administrative court), the French National Assembly and Senate, and the ICC’s International Court of Arbitration; museum and city tours and social events.


Study comparative law (in English) with local European students. Focus on Comparative, French and EU law with classes at French supreme courts and European Commission in Brussels co-taught by American and French law faculty. Con\’l rights, corporate, criminal, environmental and IP electives too.


LONDON-deals with intl business law in Ar- bitration, Entertainment, Sports & Litigation law PARIS-examines intl/comparative law, focusing on differences that influence intl dealing & differences/similarities between civil & common law jurisdictions. Courses: Eu, Internet, Contracts, Intl Business Transac- tions, Public Intl Law; Intl Human Rights. Paris offers a not-for-credit language class for a cost.
