Legal Dimensions of Doing Business in Latin America
This program immerses students in Argentine law and culture. Prominent faculty with extensive international experience teach courses on international and Latin American issues. Fluent Spanish speakers may partici- pate in the prestigious judicial externship program working with and learning directly from judges and their law clerks. For more information visit

The Summer Program in Chile/Argentina offers opportunities to learn and network with dozens of leading faculty, practitioners, government officials, and policy makers in Santiago, Chile and in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Students acquire knowledge of the legal aspects of trade and investment in Latin America and a better understanding of the social, legal, and political developments of the region.
All students will be enrolled in four separate one-credit hour courses based on international law, with a focus on South America. Classes will generally meet during the mornings, Monday-Thursday, leaving afternoons and three-day weekends free for social events and travel. All courses will be conducted in English.

Buenos Aires is an ideal place to study Latin American law as well as the legal principles and practices shaping business law in the region. The program will provide a solid foundation for those interested in learning to advise clients with business interests in a region of vital commercial and financial importance to the United States.
