Lucas. “We also see three reel players making the step to five reel games, but who resist playing video slots. Our view is to provide an experience for every type of player, while at the same time extracting every once of excitement and entertainment from the game.”
WMS' Sensory Immersion format was re-engineered from the ground up for its latest games, including a new version of the BOSE Surround Sound Gaming Chair called 3SPACE. The new Aladdin slot machine, a contender for game of the show, sees the Immersion slot employing the sights and sounds of the story of Aladdin and the magic lamp, from the lamp to the genie to the magic carpet. “The movement of the chair, the surround sound and the interactivity of the game all combine to take the experience into the player's environment,” described Ms. Lucas. “Players are experiencing the game as their 'second life.' They're not watching a screen, they're playing along inside a magical quest that's a part of their environment.”
Super Team is a slot machine that looks, plays and sounds like Disney's The Incredibles. Each of your teams' super powers are traded against your opponent's team, with each power having a particular effect on the reels. The artwork is both stunning and remarkable, considering that this is an in-house title, and one that is testament to the artistic talent within today’s gaming industry.

Castle King, WMS' second portal game, allows operators to combine multiple banks of WMS slots, under a single Portal technology-powered bonus game. It’s an in-the-field adaptation of server-based applications and an example of how WMS is seeking to expand the lifespan of their existing installed base of slots, rather than pushing operators to replace their floor with new machines.
Launched with the Star Trek series and further developed into Lord of the Rings, Adaptive Gaming slots allow the player to progress through various levels and unlock new bonus events through continuous play, and lets players log off from an individual game and pick it up at the same place on the next casino visit. At G2E 2011, WMS showed the new incarnation of Star Trek, called Battlestations, which develops the journey aspect of Adaptive Gaming with an added community element that pitches players into team battles.
The final element of the WMS stand saw an area dedicated to VLT terminals with games from across the catalogue of game titles ready for download to Class III and VLT environments. "The emphasis for us when delivering games for the lottery market is to ensure that we are delivering the complete game experience, not a cutdown, stripped out game that's restricted by the hardware," described Ms. Lucas. "We don't give players less of a game. We offer both multi-games and single game experiences that deliver the complete game with all the bells and whistles players expect from WMS. We're not watering down our games to fit a particular format or platform."
In the same vein, and building on the recent raft of approvals gained by its WMS Gaming’s WageNet system solution, Ultra Hit Progressive is creating a real buzz with positive lifts refreshing games as the progressive sits over banks of existing slot machines. At G2E, WMS showed Ultra Hit Progressive working on a bank of Konami games, demonstrating the interoperability of systems as championed by WMS. "We don't want to restrict operators by the choice of systems technology, we want to offer casino wide benefits," stated Ms. Lucas. "Ultra Hot Progressive will work with any existing systems, sitting over the top to add functionality and increase the entertainment factor of existing slots on the casino floor. We want to work with everyone."
