Nevada Gaming Board approval and the completion of field trials herald the release of PromoNet
Having been through the approval process with GLI and the Nevada Gaming Board, the wait is over for one of the casino industry's most eagerly anticipated products - FutureLogic's PromoNet.
The gestation is at an end with the announcement of trials at Southpoint Casino in Las Vegas. Trials sites in Europe and South America have already been identified, with the challenge of building infrastructures around the global to support the roll-out falling to the company's John Edmunds and recently appointed Anette Jauch. “We have made the switch from product supplier to solution provider,” pronounced Mr. Edmunds at G2E. “In the next six to 12 months we will see PromoNet installations into South Africa, Asia, US and Europe. We have been a long time selling the concept of PromoNet, establishing the market for promotional couponing. It's now time to switch from concept selling to product selling as we become accustomed to being a software company in the gaming industry.”

GLI releases VLT technical standard
Gaming Laboratories International has released the initial version of its ‘GLI-23 Video Lottery Terminals Technical Standard.’ GLI-23 is the latest in GLI’s exclusive line of standards, all of which serve as a valuable guide to suppliers, regulators and operators. “GLI-23 was created in response to an overwhelming industry request for a comprehensive technical standard covering these unique devices. While VLTs are similar in many respects to traditional casino games, VLTs are required to support distinct technical attributes. Those attributes are the primary drivers for this important technical standard,” said GLI Director of Technical Compliance Patrick Moore.

Novomatic introduces its 10,000th VLT into Italy
With long-term supply contracts for VLTs with eight of the 10 concessionaires in Italy, Austria’s Novomatic Group has introduced its 10,000th VLT into the Italian gaming market. The news confirms the fact that Novomatic is one of the largest VLT suppliers in Italy, with a market share of approximately 40 per cent.
Adria Gaming International S.p.A., a wholly owned subsidiary of Novomatic which manages its Italian VLT operations, has signed long term supply contracts for VLTs with eight of the 10 concessionaires. Novomatic also holds a majority share in
G.Matica, one of the 10 licensees, having increased its stake in the Rome-based
company to nearly 81 per cent earlier this year. “We are proud that our technology is successful in one of the most modern gaming markets in the world,” said Novomatic CEO Franz Wohlfahrt. “Our activities in Italy are of great significance because Italian VLTs are setting a trend in Europe, possibly even worldwide.”
Together with further subsidiaries, Novomatic currently also operates 70 amusement arcades in Italy. The company said that the large demand for VLTs in Italy has also had a positive impact on Novomatic’s production in Gumpoldskirchen which has had to run multi-shift operations in order to meet demand.

Ambas certificaciones son requeridas por las autoridades españolas del juego para permitir que los operadores de iGaming puedan prestar sus servicios.
