News INTERNATIONAL UPDATE APEX different slant in Rome

APEX gaming is well placed to capitalise on the continued growth of the Italian VLT market

Slovenia is among the latest European approval markets to certify Aristocrat Technologies’ VIRIDIAN WS (widescreen) games for operation, with a number of titles now available for installation on gaming floors. Approved games include More Chilli and More Hearts (both Mega Pay), Don Quixote (REMIX), Party in Rio (Reel Power), the 100 Line game Sirena’s Gold and 40/100 Line Wild Splash.

Casino Rio, located in the capital Ljubljana, saw the first shipment into Slovenia. Operations Director, Urša Zupan said Aristocrat games have been at the casino since it opened in 2007. “Aristocrat’s games have always been sited across our gaming floor and they’ve been very well adopted by our players,” Ms. Zupan said.

“We are now putting the new widescreen machines next to our VIRIDIAN games, visible across the casino floor, and we are counting on them to help draw players into the area. People are mostly looking for treasures on Where's the Gold, two of which remain in our top 10 ever list in terms of games played. Wild Panda has also won the hearts of many players, being the most played Aristocrat game currently, with Antony and Cleopatra, Heart of Gold and 50 Lions also featuring strongly. “We hope players find More Chilli as attractive as we did when we tested it and we have great anticipation of Stuntman Sam. Given the new bonus features, the new machines should be an instant hit,” concluded Ms. Zupan.

Ranko Peric, Slot Hall Manager at Casino Carnevale, on the Italian border south of Trieste, also reports positively golden performance from Where’s the Gold, Heart of Gold and Desert Gold, along with Brazil, Wild Cats and Miss Kitty.

“Aristocrat games are still on average the best performing games in our casino,” he said. “In my opinion, the widescreen cabinet and new games will introduce a different approach to gaming and will definitely bring top performance and an excellent gaming experience.”

More installations of VIRIDIAN WS have taken place further north up the Italian border, at Igralni Salon Gold Club in Lipica, and at Nova Gorica’s Casino Fortuna and Casino Princess.

For the second time this year APEX gaming exhibited at a major Italian gaming exhibition. Experienced in manufacturing VLT terminals, accounting and jackpot systems, APEX gaming offered its complete VLT solution to visitors at the ENADA Rome show. As a major player in the Czech and Slovakian VLT markets, APEX understands the technical requirements and the way to turn complex maths into popular games.

APEX gaming demonstrated its commitment to the Italian VLT market, exhibiting both the Pinnacle upright and Pinnacle SL slant-top cabinets. These were displayed together with the three- level wide-area progressive jackpot - ‘Jackpot Mania.’

Turbo Card Roulette hits the right notes for Amatic

Austrian premium multi-game and electronic roulette manufacturer, Amatic Industries, was an exhibitor at this year’s G2E. With almost 20 years of experience bringing innovation to the gaming market, G2E was a fitting occasion to once again surprise the market.

The Turbo Card Roulette is an ingenious alternative roulette solution. Replacing the roulette wheel and ball, a card-mixing unit (shuffler – invented and patented by Mark Jones from INAG) takes its place, which holds 38 cards. As in roulette there can be only one combined winning number and colour. Amatic provides the electronic terminals and networking between the Turbo Card Shuffler and each individual terminal, enabling operators to offer the INAG solution to more players at a time.

Among the visitors to the Amatic/INAG stand, cruise ship operators were particularly interested in Turbo Card Roulette as the product is

so solidly built that it is not affected at all by a ship’s movement, which has always been the major challenge to electronic roulette in the past.

Reinhold Bauer, CEO and founder of Amatic Industries, noted: “We thank all the interested visitors to our stand. The feedback has been excellent. Thus, the Turbo Card Roulette opens up a great new market in North America for us at Amatic. We have many years of experience in the production and operation of electronic roulettes and multi-game terminals and thus we are very well placed to bring such new innovation to the market.”

Johannes Weissengruber, CEO and founder of APEX gaming, commented: “No-one expected the licensing process to be so delayed in Italy. We invest long term in our markets and thus visitors to both Enada exhibitions this year once again could see that players in Italy will soon be enjoying playing the great VLT games of APEX gaming.”

APEX gaming places utmost emphasis on quality throughout the complete manufacturing process – thus combining stylish cabinets and corresponding winning games with a manufacturing quality that has made APEX gaming a firm favourite amongst players, casino and slot technicians and managers alike.

Betware platform makes the grade

Developer of interactive gaming solutions, Betware, has passed all the tests necessary to receive a certification for the application process of general licenses in Spain. The tests, performed by BMM, are part of the new gaming regulations, introduced recently in Spain and are a mandatory requirement for each gaming operator applying for a general license. BMM International's European laboratory, BMM Spain, has been accredited to test and certify iGaming platforms for the Spanish Gaming Authority. BMM’s detailed evaluation process revealed that Betware’s Central Regulatory Storage (CRS) system complies with requirements set forth by the regulator. This ensures that Betware’s CRS is the appropriate solution for any operator applying for a license in Spain.
