Spanish is spoken in 25 countries and is the world’s most widely spoken language after Chinese. If you choose Spanish A level, you will develop your ability to speak, write and understand vocabulary and grammar to a level
where you can follow TV and fi lms, understand newspapers and magazines, write in Spanish about the world’s major issues and learn about the lifestyle and culture of Spain and other Spanish-speaking countries.
You will have access to Spanish TV, up to date information and magazines and specially selected Spanish websites. You will spend an hour a week individually or in groups of two or three speaking with a Spanish native, and you will have the chance to participate in our exchange with a school in Granada or in a different study visit. You will also open up your opportunities for employment, not just in Teaching, but in Translating, Business, and the whole world of Tourism where Spanish is a key language. With an AS or A level qualifi cation in Spanish you will be highly sought after whatever career you seek, and potentially earn more money. You will have the chance to live and work throughout the European Union, and Central and South America. In this year’s survey, every student said that she or he would recommend the course!
