There hasn’t been a time in history when the science of life has been so important to the future of humans and the future of planet Earth. Every day we see news of Biology on TV, in the newspapers and on the Internet. Issues in Biology are discussed in Parliament, in the courts, as well as in classrooms, hospitals, and in research laboratories at universities.

We offer an exciting and unique new Biology course that is context led. This means you will learn your Biology by studying real life situations: for example, learning about sugars and fats by learning about heart disease.

You will learn about hospital acquired infections and infection prevention. You will study doping in sport, brain development, how your memory works and IVF. You will learn about cures for cancer, the loss of rainforests, new technologies to determine the time of death and to solve murder cases, how new drugs are developed, and the evolutionary battles between pathogens and their hosts.
