In computing the emphasis is on abstract thinking and problem solving. It is not necessary to have any prior knowledge of Computing or ICT as we will teach you a programming language so that you can test your solution. Much of the learning will be on a computer and one of the exams is a practical exercise.

You will also learn about the fundamental principles of computing and their social consequences. This will include hardware, software, communication and the Internet. There are career opportunities in programming and software consultancy but you can study Computing and go onto a career in Medicine, Law, Business, Politics or any type of Science.
