BTEC Extended Certifi cate (Level 2) The business world comprises an enormous variety of different careers. The BTEC First Certifi cate in Business is equivalent in value to two GCSEs and aims to give you a practical understanding of what being in business involves. It will help you to develop the knowledge, understanding and competency needed when entering employment or studying business at a higher level. The course is composed of six units, each of which is assessed through a variety of methods. There are however, no formal written examinations. Topics covered may include: business ownership, business communication, marketing, managing people, starting a small business and developing customer relations.
