After the wonderful pomp and pageantry of ‘THE’ wedding, the charming Prince and his beautiful bride are on honeymoon as I write this.
The reports are that they are in the Seychelles, an archipelago of 115 stunningly beautiful islands located 1600km off the East coast of Africa, just south of the equator.
Scenically the
Seychelles have always been suggestive of the Garden of Eden with dazzling white beaches, turquoise lagoons, lapping
gentle waves,
swaying emerald green coconut palms, lush forests, indigenous birds and stunningly colourful underwater life. The temperature remains a constant 29- 31 degrees all year, but the driest time of year to visit the islands is June, July and August.
Brian Laurie Accordion Showband to perform at Disneyland
Brian Laurie Accordion Showband is gearing up to take America by storm. The band which has been invited to America in July to play at the American Annual Teachers guild festival is also performing at Disneyland on the 27th July.
The excited members of the band are working hard to fundraise for the trip as the transportation of the instruments alone is £6,000. The showband is performing in concert on the 3rd June in Johnstone Town Hall, 7pm. Tickets £5 - can be bought at door or phone 0141 887 9827.
Guest artists - The Paisley Grammar School Glee Club as seen on BBC1 comic relief . A great nights entertainment!
The showband is also available for concerts in churches, halls or corporate events and smaller groups are available for entertainment in nursing homes. Call Brian 0141 887 9827 for more details.
Brian set up his academy of music in Paisley and his award winning orchestras have picked up numerous awards over the years and are current British Champions. Numerous members of the orchestras also are current British solo champions.
People think an accordion band plays nothing but Scottish Music, but that is not the case. The showband plays a wide range of music from Scottish, rock, classical, jazz to big show stoppers. Listen to our music online at
http://www.accordionshowbandnew.com.
Our junior showband will also be performing on the night - youngest member age 8.
Getting there can be with a direct service with Air Seychelles from London, Air France from Paris or via Dubai with Emirates from Glasgow.
As each island has its own identity, island hopping remains de rigeur, with usually a few days on the main island Mahe, followed by stays on Praslin, Denis, Sainte Anne, Freigate or Bird island.
Apparently William and Kate are on North Island, a private island sanctuary known as “Noah’s Ark”. There are just 11 handcrafted guest villas, each constructed to create a sensorial experience in surroundings of understated elegance. This location is staggeringly expensive at around £4,000 PER NIGHT per villa!

We also have some fantastic all inclusive prices for SEABOURN 6 * star cruises.
