After spending a lot of time studying the different makes of leisure battery which are available, we decided to work with Banner. Made in Austria for over 70 years, their range of auxiliary batteries includes models for most applications and their approach to product quality means that Banner batteries will not only perform better but last a lot longer than most other so-called “leisure” batteries. Banner supply several vehicle manufacturers with starter batteries: BMW, VW, Volvo, Chrysler and Mitsubishi among them and they also provide motorhome builders such as Hymer, LMC, Rapido and Chausson with leisure batteries. For anyone who really depends on their batteries, we believe that Banner models are amongst the very best that you can get.
Banner makes its lead-acid leisure batteries to very high standards, with thicker plates, more lead and advanced construction methods. The result is extra power and longer life when subjected to long periods of use as a domestic power source with good tolerance to cycling.
They are ideal for use with fast-charging equipment such as the battery-to-battery chargers shown on pages 14 - 16.

*Any wet lead-acid battery that’s described as “maintenance free” has to conform to certain standards. It may require topping up with water if the battery is used in ways that do not conform to those standards - this often happens when batteries are used for domestic / leisure purposes. Energy Bull batteries are maintenance free in normal circumstances but can easily be topped up if necessary.

In the table, we have put Ah capacity at both the 20 hour and 100 hour discharge rates. The longer the period over which a battery is discharged, the more energy it can provide in total.
