If you want a high-quality, discreet rear-view video system, this new model from Camos is it. The 7” monitor is built into a rear-view mirror which simply clips securely over the existing mirror. A single cable from the mirror goes to a control box which runs on 12V and is, in turn, connected by cable to the camera.

The system is simple to install and can be connected so that it switches on automatically when reverse gear is engaged or remains on at all times.

! Mirror dimensions: 260mm W x105mm H x 35mm D ! 3M connection lead from mirror to control box & 20M lead from control box to camera ! Mirror image / real image selector ! 2 x inputs to monitor: 1 camera, 1 A/V ! Camera has I.R. illumination for night-time viewing, 120° viewing angle & microphone ! Remote control & on-screen controls ! High resolution screen: 480 x 234

Even if you have a rear-view camera, sensors at the rear of the vehicle can still be a useful aid when reversing.

This system works with most Camos camera systems and uses the rear-view monitor to display the distance from obstacles detected by the sensor. There’s also an audible warning.

! 4 sensors ! Sensors are available in black or white ! Distance range: 22cm - 2.5M

CAMOS WIRELESS REAR-VIEW SYSTEM

In situations where running a cable between the camera and the monitor is not practical - on caravans, articulated trucks, agricultural vehicles and some boats for example - a wireless system can make an installation much simpler. With this new system, the wireless signal is transmitted digitally and so, unlike conventional wireless systems, there is zero interference or picture drop-out. The range is approx. 100M depending on the environment where it is being used.

The camera is a high-quality model with night-vision capability, heater and microphone and, because it’s not connected to the monitor, has to be powered from a 12V supply. The monitor is a 7" model and is powered from a 12V or 24V supply. See our website for full specifications.

If you need a wireless vision system but want a different monitor or camera from the ones supplied, Camos’s wireless systems D5101 or D5102 may fit the bill. See page 74 for more information.

CAMOS 7" DIGITAL WIRELESS RV KIT

High quality and a wide range of both cameras and compatible monitors mean that Camos rear-view camera systems are often chosen for specialist applications.

The British Army, emergency services, local government organisations and vehicle designers and builders all use Camos products for applications where high performance, toughness and reliability are essential.

The monitor shown here, for example, has three or four (depending on model) camera inputs as well as an A/V input. Camos supply the monitor along with two side cameras (D4113) and a rear-view camera such as D4107 to American RV manufacturers. We have also recently supplied them to the British Army.

We don’t have space here to show all of Camos’s specialist cameras and monitors so, if you have a special requirement for remote vision systems on a vehicle or boat, please ask us for more information.
