STERLING POWER COMBI UNITS
Sterling’s new ProCombi range is for anyone looking for a high performance, competitively priced inverter and battery charger in one combined unit. Available in both 12V & 24V and modified sine wave and pure sine wave models, these products do exactly what they say and no more. To avoid unnecessary complications and additional power consumption, Sterling have left out excessive features which most people would never even be aware of, let alone use. This approach has also made prices very competitive when compared to similar products from other manufacturers. What Sterling Power have produced is, quite simply, a compact, reliable unit which, when connected to mains power will charge the vehicle’s or boat’s domestic batteries and, when mains power is not available, will reverse the process and provide 230V power from the domestic batteries so that practically any household appliance can be used as normal.

Pure sine or Quasi sine? Because Sterling Power have used the latest technology in these products, for the majority of people a quasi or modified sine wave unit will do everything required of it. It’s really only thyristor-controlled equipment such as washing machines that definitely demand a pure sine wave inverter. To make things easy, Sterling have an upgrade policy: if you buy a quasi sine wave inverter / charger and then discover (within six months) that it won’t operate some equipment, you can send your unit back to Sterling, pay the difference and get a brand new pure sine wave model instead.
