ADVANCED BATTERY MAINTENANCE
STERLING PRO PULSE BATTERY DE-SULPHATION SYSTEM The Pro Pulse is designed to connect to a 12V battery or battery
bank and, by constantly feeding a small electrical charge into
the battery, keep the plates free of sulphation - a primary cause of battery failure. This will result in the battery staying fresher and more responsive to charging and discharging.
The Pro Pulse can be fitted to any battery and ensures that sulphation is not only prevented but also reversed, prolonging the life and increasing the performance of the battery. This device is not required if you have a Pro Digital battery charger or any other advanced charging product connected to your

batteries as they probably have a de-sulphation cycle built into their software programme.
Pro Pulse works by taking a small current from a battery and
then feeding it back in the form of a high frequency pulse, dislodging sulphate which has built up on the battery’s plates.
It is not a battery charger and it will not charge your batteries.

Sterling Power’s battery maintainer connects to a wiring - just one wire to the positive terminal of the vehicle’s auxiliary (leisure) battery and takes power from there to keep the starter battery topped up. It’s the most sophisticated product of this type and is available in a variety of specifications. Like other similar products, Sterling’s battery maintainer works best when the auxiliary batteries are being charged, either from a mains hook-up or from a solar panel. It operates completely automatically and uses very little power itself - see below.
auxiliary battery and a third wire which attaches to the vehicle’s chassis or a common negative point.
There’s no danger of draining the auxiliary batteries either: the maintainer uses just 1 Amp every 40 days when not in use and, when it is operating, approximately 1 Amp every 3 days - not important when the battery is being charged. Safety features ensure that neither battery can be damaged and, if the auxiliary battery doesn’t have
The battery maintainer can be used with all types of enough charge to be able to put current through to 12V battery and 24V versions are available too, as well as 24V - 12V and 12V - 24V model. See the Sterling catalogue for details on these. It’s straightforward to install, with no complicated

STERLING BATTERY MAINTAINER
When left standing idle for even a few days, a vehicle’s batteries can discharge - even when nothing is connected. This is called self-
discharging and is an inevitable consequence of not using a battery.
If the vehicle is powering an alarm system, a tracker or other 12V items, the discharge will be greater and this can result in failure to start the engine or even damage to the battery.

VOTRONIC STANDBY BATTERY CHARGER automatically charges a vehicle’s
starter battery at up to 2 Amps using the leisure batteries as a source of power.
As long as the leisure batteries are being charged by a mains charger a solar panel or a generator, for example, current will flow to the starter battery and keep it in good condition and ready to start the engine when needed.
