COVER STORIES
We always enjoy hearing from the people who buy our products and finding out what they’re doing with them. Here’s some background information on the pictures that we’ve got on this year’s catalogue’s front cover.
Primetech specialise in fitting out vehicles for the emergency services and they specialise in satellite communications. This is one of several vehicles supplied to Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service which were
equipped with CAMOS sat-domes.
This Adria Vision motorhome is owned by Chris and Julie who spend a lot of time travelling around the U.K. for their work. Getting on-line is absolutely essential for them and their IPcopter Internet system gives them reliable access to
the web no matter where they are. They got the system at the end of 2010. It’s working well and Chris tells us that he’s “already impressed by the speed”.
Stewart and Lesley MacLennan spend most of their time travelling through Europe on board their 36 ton barge Endellion. The boat was designed and built so that Stewart, who uses a wheelchair, could operate the controls easily and for more than two years, he’s done just that. Endellion is fitted with a Kathrein CAP 900 satellite TV system.
Terry Darby owns five historic tractors including this very smart Nuffield from the 1950s. Nuffields were made by Morris Motors and were sold until absorbed by British Leyland in 1969. All Terry’s tractors work as
well as they did when new and he makes sure that they always start easily by using CTEK 7000 battery

If you’ve got something that came from RoadPro and you’re using it in a vehicle or a boat or even an aircraft, we’d love to see a picture and hear how you’re using the product. Just e-mail us at and, who knows, your picture could be on the cover of our 2012 catalogue!

If you’re wondering what the picture on the back cover of our catalogue is all about, look closely and you’ll see an unusual visitor to the copse behind RoadPro H.Q. in Daventry. It’s a muntjak deer, an imported species from China which is now widespread across England, a few having escaped from parks and zoos.
Prices and models can change. For up to date prices, to find a dealer near you or for further information on any of our products, please phone us on 01327 312233 or visit our website:

These hang-gliders are flying over the Alps and are based at the Flyers’ Lodge Alpine Flying Centre near Chamonix in France.
Hang-gliding can bring on an appetite and the 12V stove that we supplied to Flyers’ Lodge will
help provide hot food for the Alpine Aerialists when they finally get back to earth.
Steve Allart is a member of the South East 4x4 Response Group. The organisation’s members use their 4x4 vehicles (including Steve’s Land Rover) to provide assistance to the emergency services, local authorities and
charitable groups. We were able to provide Steve with a new Midland CB radio - one of the ways that members keep in touch when out in their vehicles.
2010 was the 50th anniversary of Erik Carlsson’s historic victory in the World Rally Championship. This SAAB 96 is a replica of the car that Erik used and it was brought over from the SAAB museum in Sweden to Pickering, Yorkshire for the start of the 2010 Roger Albert Clark Rally. RoadPro’s Andy Harris competed in the rally in an almost identical model and relied on a RoadPro LED torch to navigate through the forests at night.
The old combined with the new when Asus Computers used an ancient Airstream caravan (or trailer as they say in the States) to demonstrate their products. RoadPro installed a Crystop Internet satellite system and the set-up has proved very successful as the roadshow travels around the country to outdoor events such as Cowes Week - shown here.
