CAMOS GPS NAVIGATION
The latest Camos GPS sat-nav systems are designed especially for use in large vehicles including trucks, motorhomes and caravans. A vehicle’s weight, width and length can be entered into the system which will then only calculate routes which are suitable for a vehicle with those parameters.
With clear mapping, excellent sound and easy to follow on-screen instructions, Camos units are perfect for people who want to avoid complication. Full, street-level coverage of 42 European countries is stored on a 2Gb SD card, and route calculations are made within seconds. Touch-screen operation and an easy to use remote control make the system very simple to navigate and large, clear icons enable even first time users to be up and running within a minute or two.
Entering destinations is very simple, using full postcodes, addresses or points of interest such as hotels, fuel stations, restaurants, hospitals and art galleries. Map co-ordinates can also be used. In addition to around 1.5 million points of interest, Camos GPS systems come with a database of 8,500 camping sites* across Europe.
Both 2D and 3D views are available as are speed limit warnings on major roads, automatic day / night screen brightness and a “lane assistance” feature. This is particularly useful when you find yourself in heavy traffic in an unfamiliar place, advising you in good time exactly which lane you should be when approaching an exit or junction.
Other mapping features include speed camera warning and speed limit notification with optional warning information on most roads.
As well as being GPS systems, the screen can be used as a rear-view monitor by connecting a Camos camera. In this mode, the picture-in-picture feature is very
