Queens Hospital Bottle Scheme - DATA LINK.
On 14th July, 2010, Colin Davies & Ray Hare of the Hornchurch & Upminster Rotary Club arrived at 2pm to take on a 2-hour roster on the Data Link stand at Queens Hospital, just as Terry Sampson & Colin Vale of the Romford Rotary Club finished their stint..
Between the two rosters a total of 40 bottles were given out over a period of 4 hours to people who enquired of us. Many people also approached and thanked us for the service, telling us that their family and friends currently have a bottle in their fridge. A successful afternoon.

he Datalink scheme, intended for the elderly or people living on
their own, is simplicity itself - a specially labeled bottle, containing a person‟s details of all medicines they take, is stored in their refrigerator, and clearly indicated on refrigerator door by a green cross. So the location of the Datalink bottle is immediately recognized by paramedics called in an emergency, and so enables them to take immediate and appropriate action.
