rian‟s final act as President was to announce the


Rotarian of the Year, and this award went to Jim Haines. Brian pointed out that throughout the year if there was


anything that needed doing Jim was always on hand to help out. Two of the many situations where Jim saved the day were the Christmas collections, when Jim secured the use of a friend‟s van to tow the sleigh, and the Datalink Bottle scheme which he took over when things began to go wrong.
