onsidering the fact that our one and only get


together, before the event , was spent picking out the songs , I thought the singing was pretty good. The highlight of the entertainment was provided by two of our more reserved Rotarians, Ray Leach and Ray Hare ,who wowed the guests with their solo performances. Well done to all the club members who pro- vided transport, assistance with parking, who served the meals and drinks and generally helped out wherever there was a need. Special thanks go to our President Brian who did much of the pre dinner organisation.

thought too that the big Maitre d' showed


a lot of promise, he seemed to know what he was doing and could go far in the catering trade (Norman something!). Our thanks too must go to the chef and the


staff of The Lodge who did a magnificent job. Finally a special thank you to all the wives who turned out to give a hand, I have never seen so many and the extra hands certainly speeded up the service. The guests that I spoke to were mightily impressed with the whole evening. All in all a good night was had by both guests and Rotarians alike.-
