Rotary Meeting 26-Feb-10 Murder Mystery Evening Who-did-it?

AN ODE TO A MYSTERY MURDER OF ONE GEOFFREY FURZLAND

The crime’s the thing we mortals seek for

Labouring long over clues and documents,

But clues come short and leave us poor In answers clear and needed comments.

So to a band of actors we turn for aid and succour as to why old Geoffrey was done-in by strapping local maid of muddled dreams and love for hockey.

‘Tis no use to worry - so just put any

answer down on paper to complete the game and hand it in to adjudicators all the faster

Then perhaps…to triumph and to fame?

Thus it was that Norman’s Team Became Winners of

Hornchurch & Upminster Rotary’s competition

Raising money for th’end of Polio’s sad reign

So aiding victory for this world-wide mission.

**************

With apologies to Ode writers everywhere,

but not for Rotary Awareness Week

and the seeking the end of Polio: that needs no apology!
