LEVEL 2 BTEC DIPLOMAS

EQUIVALENT TO 4 GCSEs (FORMELY BTEC FIRST DIPLOMA)

Level 2 BTEC Diplomas are one year improver courses aimed at providing students with an alternative to GCSEs and can lead onto further training and employment.

All Level 2 BTEC Diplomas have IT Functional Skills embedded into their course assessed by exams. This gives students the opportunity to gain an additional IT qualification.

The core units are: • business purposes • business organisations • financial forecasting for business • people in organisations

The core units give you a wide ranging introduction to the way businesses operate and the things that are important to their success. This is essential knowledge for those who want to be successful in the work environment.

The specialist units will be chosen from a selection of units, to include: • business communication • personal selling in business • business online • customer relations in business • starting a small business • managing personal finances

Where does the Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Business take me? When you have completed the course, you may move on to a Level 3 course such as the BTEC Extended Diploma in Business or you can seek employment in the business field.
