In 2008, Palmer’s College became an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. The IB Diploma, established for over 40 years and taught in over 100 countries, is an increasingly popular alternative to A-levels.

Palmer’s College English Department has been awarded the Prince’s Teaching Institute Mark in recognition of the work done in 2009/2010 in response to membership of the Schools Programme.
