HELPING YOU SUCCEED
Above all they said that at Palmer’s College: “The needs of the students come first.”
We are very proud that the College’s excellence has been recognised by the Ofsted Inspectors. The report is available on the College’s website.
Student Success For many years results at Palmer’s College in all types of courses have been at or above national averages. Our results are not influenced by extra compulsory examinations such as General Studies.
A-level pass rates have been outstanding year on year and regularly the top 30% of our A-level students achieve average grades for three A-levels of A, A, B. In 2010, the A-level pass rate was 97%.
In BTEC National Diplomas, now Level 3 BTEC Extended Diplomas, excellence in results is expected and attained. At Level 2 BTEC First Diplomas, now Level 2 BTEC Diplomas, the one year improver’s course – results have consistently bettered national targets.
At Palmer’s College many students undertake A-levels or other Level 3 courses who would not normally get such an opportunity at many other colleges or school sixth forms. As a result we have large numbers of young people attempting and succeeding in gaining the grades needed to obtain entry to university or worthwhile careers. Students are guided by staff from the award winning Careers Department.
The ‘Recognition of Quality’ Award recognises the high standard of impartial information, advice and guidance delivered within the College.
After Palmer’s College many of our students move on to worthwhile careers and to universities from:
Accountant to Zoologist Choreographer to Solicitor Engineer to Nurse IT Manager to Lawyer
Hundreds of different opportunities exist which well-qualified Palmer’s College students have taken.
On to University If you want to go to university, then you can find Palmer’s College students at virtually every university in the country, studying on dozens of different courses.
