JOHN HARVEY HRG has appointed John Harvey as marketing director. Harvey first joined HRG in 1979, working up through the company to an appointment on the board of the then UK business travel division in 1990. He went on to work in other areas of commerce and industry, before rejoining HRG in 2009.


DEBORAH KERR SABRE has appointed Deborah Kerr as chief product and technology officer. In her new position, Kerr will be responsible for Sabre’s global technology organisation, which includes travel software development. Previously, Kerr was executive vice- president and chief product and technology officer at Fair Isaac.


HARTMUT MEHDORN Hartmut Mehdorn has been named as CEO of BERLIN BRANDENBURG AIRPORT. With almost 50 years’ experience in the travel and aviation industries, his previous roles include CEO of Airbus Germany and CEO of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.


AZAT MULGIMOV Azat Mulgimov has been appointed general director of AIR CHARTER SERVICE in the company's Moscow office. Previously, Mulgimov worked for five years as commercial director and member of the board of directors at Aviacon Zitotrans, where was responsible for sales and marketing.


PERRY GRIERSON Perry Grierson has been appointed head of account management for HRS UK. In this new position, Grierson will foster relationships with the company’s clients. Grierson was previously a senior account manager at American Express on the company’s Business Travel team.


CLICK TRAVEL Click Travel has announced new appointments, including MIKE STEPHENS as sales director, and VICKI WILLIAMS as head of implementation. Stephens previously worked as sales director at Lifesize Communications. He was also channel sales engagement director and corporate sales director at Cisco. Williams has worked in the business travel industry for nearly 20 years, including roles in service delivery and as an onsite team leader. Most recently, she worked as a business travel implementation project manager with American Express.


MICHAEL WALE The STARWOOD group has appointed Michael Wale as its president for the EMEA region. Wale began his career with Starwood as a graduate trainee in 1978. Previous roles include senior vice-president of SVP global operations for Le Meridien and general manager of the Sheraton Park Tower Knightsbridge.


PEKKA VAURAMO Pekka Vauramo has been appointed CEO of FINNAIR. Vauramo worked for 22 years at Swedish mining and construction company Sandvik, and he has been COO of the MacGregor Business Area of Cargotec, where he has held different roles since 2007.


CWT MEETINGS & EVENTS CWT Meetings & Events has announced the appointments of PAULINE HOUSTON as global director and PATRICK LUKAN as senior director, global operations. Houston has worked with CWT since 2009. Her past positions in the company include hotel programmes and CWT Meetings & Events director, UK & Ireland. Most recently, she worked as global director, supplier management for hotels and global supplier management for meetings and events. Lukan has worked in the travel industry for 20 years. His past roles include senior sales and operations positions at Sabre and vice-president of global e-commerce sales for Travelport.


THEIRRY DOUIN DUSIT INTERNATIONAL has appointed Theirry Douin as regional vice-president for the Middle East and Africa. Douin has 35 years’ experience in the hotel industry, having previously managed properties for the brands Intercontinental and Shangri-La among others.
