Strong take up for EAS 2012
The 2012 edition of the Euro Attractions Show is on track to being the biggest ever, according to IAAPA.
THE Euro Attractions Show is set to take place at the Messe Berlin, Germany, from October 9 to 11 and according to organiser the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), the 2012 edition of the event is set to be the biggest in its history. Education sessions within the EAS conference
programme will cover the core issues of attraction operations, including new technologies, Halloween events, emerging markets, food and beverage trends, sustainability, social media, safety, waterparks and family entertainment centres, with presentations from European industry leaders. The event will also feature exclusive behind-the- scenes tours at
local attractions including Tropical
Islands and Filmpark Babelsberg. Unique networking events are also planned throughout the week to help attendees make meaningful first-hand connections within the industry.
“After last year’s record-breaking show in London,
Euro Attractions Show 2012 in Berlin seems to be on track for being once again the largest show in the history of EAS,” Jakob Wahl, programme manager for IAAPA Europe, told InterPark. “With already more than 300 exhibitors booked in, a fifth hall has been opened to accommodate the still incoming requests. In addition,
there has been strong demand for the
various special events including the opening reception, the leadership breakfast with keynote speaker Roland Mack and the various tours to attractions in Berlin and northern Germany. EAS will once again be the meeting place for the complete European attractions industry.” Situated on the edge of Germany’s historic capital
city, Messe Berlin is located near many hotels and restaurants, with easy connections to the S-Bahn and the U-Bahn making it highly accessible to the centre of Berlin and the new airport, which opened in June 2012.
