Intamin Amusement Rides is based in Schaan, Liechtenstein, and offers the largest complementary line of products in the amusement ride industry.
The company is known for its numerous entries in the Guinness Book of Records for the highest, the fastest, the steepest and further superlatives in amusement rides in the world.
A family owned company, founded in 1967 by brothers Robert and Reinhold Spieldiener and their colleague Alfons Saiko, it quickly became apparent to them that the market needed a new approach to amusement and theme parks and the three founders built up an in-house engineering and design capability that allowed them to expand rapidly, developing increasingly complex and interesting ride systems and supplying them to more than 30 countries around the world.
Notwithstanding the reputation for big rides, Intamin rides are also designed of such size and cost as to meet the client’s demands and needs. As a worldwide leading manufacturer and supplier of amusement rides and attractions, Intamin produces and offers a selection of every different kind of amusement ride and attraction.
According to the company’s Beatriz Carvajal Vico, business for the group has been solid in 2012. “We were able to secure a number of contracts for openings in 2013 and 2014,” Vico said. “We are proud of the several recent openings of Intamin rides, in particular our first Water Coaster at Mirabilandia in Italy (a world record attraction); our first Wing Coaster at Hershey Park, US; and the world’s highest Giant Drop at Six Flags Magic Mountain, also in the US.”

Intamin maintains a strong presence around the world and is currently experiencing a boom across Asia.
“We are currently working on some exciting new ride developments in the field of roller coasters and water rides,” Vico added.
