Interlink

The Interlink Group was founded in 1982 by John Hudd with the specific purpose of designing and manufacturing a range of high quality, affordable, water based attractions for installation in theme, amusement and waterparks.

With offices in France, the UK and Singapore, all design and manufacturing work is carried out in-house and the company has developed a variety of water rides to suit a wide range of requirements and budgets. These include the Rapid River, Shoot-the Chute, Water Battle, Super Flume and Mini Flume, specially developed to cater for the youngest end of the market, the three to eight year old age group. Interlink also offers ‘dry’ rides, from scenic trains to thrilling roller coasters, and carries out all aspects of ride design and installation.

The most recent addition to the Interlink product line-up is a range of second generation, fixed or transportable panoramic towers. These can have either a fixed concrete base or a steel base frame to avoid the need for concrete foundations, thus enabling the structures to be easily dismantled and transported if required. They feature double-storey rider capsules which provide the unique opportunity for guests to be seated in the 60-seat top level while also allowing access to a glass floored lower level ‘Skywalk’ for those looking to add more excitement to the experience.

Interlink has been involved in numerous projects around the world since it was founded and continues to be a leading supplier to a wide range of venues globally. Among its most recently completed installations are a two-lift log flume at the redeveloped Galveston Pier in Texas, US, a turnkey project that features a trough of approximately 280m in length, two drops of 6m and 12m and seven, five-seater boats.

The latest project to be announced by the company is the design, manufacture and supply of a two lift Super Flume for PowerPark, situated in Härmä, Finland, for opening during the 2013 season. The ride will feature two lifts and two drops, one of 7m and another of 14m, and will have an impressive overall circuit length of approximately 400m. It will incorporate a 12m long station section and will utilise a total of nine, six-seater boats, providing a capacity of 600 passengers per hour.

These installations follow the successful opening of a number of attractions within the past 18 months around the world, including in Indonesia, France and Sweden.
