Pax Company Ltd has been active in business since 1988, within the international market since 1993, and is made up of specialists with significant work experience in the aerospace industry. The company’s specialty is the calculation, design and manufacture of sophisticated machinery, space programme equipment, spatial metallic structures, amusement rides and building constructions.
Pax is closely co-operating with various technical supervision agencies, such as the Central Research Institute of Building Constructions named after Kucherenko (Russia), TÜV SÜD (Munich, Germany) and TÜV Nord (Essen, Germany). The company’s production has been certified as per ISO 9000 in compliance with Russian and European standards. 70 specialists and 150 qualified workers create high quality equipment for the Russian and international markets.
Pax Company has built:
• “Moscow – 850” Panoramic Wheel, 75m in height and certified by the Central Research Institute of Building Constructions named after Kucherenko.
• Panoramic Wheel, 90m in height, for Mirabilandia park, Italy – Europe’s tallest in 1999 - certified by TÜV SÜD.
• Panoramic Wheel, 80m in height, on the roof of the building for Lotte Corporation (Ulsan, South Korea) - certified by TÜV NORD.
• Cobra roller coasters, 46m in height, for Kazakhstan and Russia – the tallest ones in the CIS.
• Roller coasters for Saudi Arabia, France (Parc Saint-Paul) and Austria (Erlebnispark), certified by Coulter (USA) and TÜV NORD (Germany);
• Over 170 major rides around the world.
• 350 telecommunications and TV towers up to 130m in height.
Pax’s recent achievements have included the design and manufacture of a mobile gantry for Guiana Space Centre, a set of containers for “Soyuz-CT” launchers’ transportation and other equipment for the European Space Agency and Roscosmos (Russian Space Agency) facilities. In October 2011, by means of a mobile gantry, the assembly of the “Soyuz-CT” launcher and “Galileo” satellite was held and a successful launch and orbiting was conducted. Further, the mobile gantry will support three or four launches per year.
Pax Company is the owner of the amusement park at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre. The company is also a developer of technical regulations for the safety of machinery and the safety of amusement rides, including national standards for the safety of amusement rides GOST 29166, GOST 52170 and GOST 53130.
Pax Company is also a base organisation for TC 427 Rosstandard (the technical committee for the safety of amusement rides) and ISO TC 254 (the safety of amusement rides and amusement devices).
The new areas of development for the company are panoramic wheels, featuring a new efficient design from 140m in height, offered for joint operation and designed and manufactured by Pax based on the international patent of owner Vladimir Gnezdilov (PCT/RU 2010/000261). The company’s most recent joint operational project is an 80m wheel installed in Lazarevskoye, near Sochi, a major Black Sea resort in Russia.
