Mack Rides

As a family business Mack Rides is proud to look back on a 230-year history and is today one of the market leaders for the development and construction of amusement park attractions.

Using innovative new developments and customer-oriented ride construction, Mack has always influenced the world of theme park rides like almost no other company.

The unique constellation of being a ride manufacturer and park operator allows the group to develop - from practice, for practice - optimal solutions for its customers. It’s exactly this uniqueness that builds the solid foundation of the company’s areas of expertise: quality, reliability, durability, investment security and design.

“Mack Rides is looking at a very strong first half in 2012,” said the company’s Maximilian Roeser. “With the opening of Manta, our newest launch coaster at SeaWorld San Diego, US, we are very proud to deliver another great ride. Also, the installation of the Compact MegaCoaster, The Storm, at Etnaland, Sicily, is now completed and the client and our team are very happy with the ride. It offers a lot of airtime moments together with some nice twists and turns.”

Roeser said Mack is enjoying strong demand for its roller coasters, particularly the innovative MegaCoaster series. “We are growing our presence in almost every market,” he added. “This diversity is great as we can see many new rides from Mack Rides all over the world in the near future, particularly in Russia and across Asia.

“Currently we are installing a new spinning coaster at Toverland, Netherlands, that will open this autumn. Of course, there are many projects that are still confidential but for the near future we are looking for some great rides. A totally new development will be installed at Europa-Park and we are currently in the final development phase where we can see that a great ride is waiting for the families coming to the resort.”

Breaking new ground

Following continued growth across world amusement markets, Mack is currently building a new logistics centre on Mauermattenstrasse in Waldkirch, Germany, expanding the company’s headquarters by over 2,000sq.m.

According to the company, new material flows and work processes will allow the group to respond even more flexibly to customer orders. The new logistics centre will become the hub where materials are picked and prepared for different work stages. It is set to open in October 2012.
