system is a national support project and a model for other wind power systems. It is high powered and has high installation capacity for its unit area and high utility rate of wind. The system will be suitable for operation on sea or land and is projected to be the primary type of system used in the world in the future. Jiali Wind Power relied on a research and develop- ment platform successfully produced by Jinfeng Tech- nology for a 3MW wind power system to produce the new system. The researchers worked continuously to design and discuss the received drawings and ensure the five products passed the onsite test. They over- came the difficulties of shipping, electric furnace melting, pouring, cutting and machining to deliver the parts. It took five months to develop the parts. The successful development of the parts for the 6MW wind power system is expected to facilitate the domestic production of heavy wind power generators, lower manufacturing costs and propel domestic wind energy use. ■

Brembo Completes Casting Plant in Poland Brembo布雷博在波兰的铸造工厂正式建成
Brake manufacturer Brembo S.p.A., Stezzano, Italy, has
completed construction on the new metalcasting facility it first announced in July 2008. Te $140-million plant is located next to Brembo’s cur-
rent casting facility in Dabrowa Gornicza, Poland. Te plant is expected to more than double the company’s casting capacity. “It is my pleasure to open this new factory in Poland,
which reinforces our presence in a country that is becoming the geographical center of the automotive industry in Eu- rope,” Brembo President Alberto Bombassei said during the official opening ceremony of the facility on Oct. 14.
