What products does Inductotherm supply to the metal- casting industry, and what markets does it serve?
Inductotherm designs and manufactures advanced
induction melting, heating, holding and pouring systems for virtually all metals and materials processing. We offer a complete line of coreless and channel-type induction melting and holding systems, having built furnaces with capacities ranging from 10 kg to more than 100 metric tons and power supplies from 10 kW up to 42,000 kW. But, frankly, we do not see any limitations on size with today’s technology. Our product line also encompasses a full range of charging and preheating systems, melt shop computer control systems, automated pouring systems and ARMS (automated robotic melt shop) Systems. These Inductotherm products serve a wide variety of industries, such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energies, structural, defense, agriculture, medical and re- cycling. We have a diverse range of applications, such as melting of ferrous, nonferrous and specialized materials like silicon, vacuum and controlled atmosphere melting, high-temperature induc- tion heating, investment casting, alloy manufacturing, mini steel mills and more. Our systems now account for about half of the in- duction melting installations in use in the world today.
