The biggest increase was in the 10kg+ category, which saw a staggering 575.6% rise in volume, as more manufacturers launched these super-sized appliances onto the market. There was also a 577.4% rise in value, with an average unit price of £787, up only 0.3% on the previous year.


The 6kg or less market saw a decline in both volume and value while the 6.1-7kg, 7.1- 8kg, 8.1-9kg and 9.1-10kg market saw healthy figures for both volume and value.
