nities to Promote Elks Passion. The first week in May is designated as Elks National Youth Week. During this week, we emphasize the accomplishments of the youth in our communities, because young people are not only the future leaders of our nation, but if asked, could be the future leaders of our Order.

May 8th is a day designated to honor mothers, and all of our lodges have an opportunity to make this day memorable. Sandra and I hope that all lodges plan a very special Mother’s Day program. Please let all of our mothers know how much we love them and appreciate all they have done for us. Let us also honor the memory of those mothers who are no longer with us. May 30th is Memorial Day, a day that offers an opportunity to formally pause in honor and remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may appreciate the freedoms that we enjoy in this great nation. Many of those men and women who have died in service to our nation were Elks. Let us never forget their sacrifices, and let us always honor their memories and service.

Sandra and I have had the honor to visit with so many Elks and their families, and we have been very proud to see so many of you being Loud, being Proud, and being Visible in all of your service to others. Please keep showing that Elks Care—Elks Share. Don’t keep your great works a secret; let everyone in your communities know who you are and what you do.

May God bless each of you, our troops, our Order, and most importantly, may God continue to bless America.

Fraternally and Sincerely,
