Johnson City, TN, Lodge held a Christmas Bingo Party for more than 50 veterans at the Mountain Home VA Medical Center, treated them to refreshments and snacks, and gave each veteran a gift. The lodge also donated eight pairs of eyeglasses to the center.


Chisholm Trail, TX, Lodge members delivered 175 cards written by children at local elementary schools to veterans at the Olin E. Teague VA Medical Center in Temple. The lodge also delivered more than 100 books and several pairs of shoes and items of women’s clothing to the facility.


Greenville, SC, Lodge members visited 230 veterans at the Richard Michael Campbell Veterans Nursing Home and gave the residents a total of ten shawls, 15 lap blankets, and 40 walker bags. Syracuse, NY, Lodge members treated 32 veterans and four caregivers from the Syracuse VA Medical Center to dinner at the lodge followed by a performance by the children’s chorus from St. Rose of Lima Church. The lodge also treated the chorus director, the 12 members of the chorus, and their 22 parents to dinner.


Webster-Fairport, NY, Lodge mem- bers treated 30 veterans from the Canandaigua VA Medical Center to breakfast at the lodge.


New Bern, NC, Lodge held a Barbecue Rib Sale fund-raiser, sold more than 360 racks of ribs, and raised nearly $1,150, which was divided between the two state Veterans Retirement Homes and the Wounded Warrior Project, which assists wounded

veterans as they return to civilian society by providing them with outdoor sports activities.


Raleigh, NC, Lodge Bingo Committee donated $500 to the Army of Hope Program, which provides assistance to the family members of deployed US troops, and $1,800 to the Durham VA Medical Center to support veterans residing there.


Lewistown, PA, Lodge members treated 45 veterans at the Hollidays- burg Veterans Home to more than $6,600 worth of gifts, including beverages, snacks, candy, and lap robes. Items left over were donated to other residents of the home.


Sumter, SC, Lodge donated $600 to the Wounded Warrior Project, which supports wounded veterans of the current conflicts, to support its activities at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center. The donation was made in the name of US


Eureka “Tintic,” UT, and Park City, UT, Lodge members visited the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City and gave Valentine bags containing cards made by local children to 120 veterans being treated there. Eureka “Tintic” Lodge members also gave 20 handmade lap blankets to veterans at the center.


Onancock, VA, Lodge donated $650 worth of prepaid phone cards to the Hampton VA Medical Center to be given to veterans being treated there.


Tacoma, WA, Lodge members visited the Lakewood VA medical facility and held two Valentine’s Day Parties. Lodge members treated 20 patients at the facility’s dementia ward to snacks and beverages and then treated 30 residents of the Community Living Center to dessert and bingo games.


Kaukauna, WI, Lodge donated $400 to the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King to purchase coupon books for resident veterans. The lodge also donated several lap blankets to be distributed to residents.


Two Rivers, WI, Lodge members delivered 400 handmade cards thanking veterans for their service to veterans living in nursing and assisted living facilities and to the Cleveland VA Outpatient Clinic. The cards were made by students at St. Peter the Fisherman School. ■
