Falmouth, MA, Lodge members treated 25 veterans from the Brockton VA medical facility to lunch at the lodge, gave each veteran a gift bag containing a T-shirt, a deck of cards, and a pin, and treated the veterans to a bus tour of the surrounding area. Hawaii facility in Kalaeloa decorate the facility for Christmas and treated them to a meal while the decorations were being put up. Three weeks later, lodge members treated the veterans to a full Christmas dinner, gave each of the veterans a gift, and gave the US VETS Hawaii facility an electronic gaming system and several games for the veterans’ use.


Dixon, IL, Lodge donated nearly 220 pairs of socks to the Illinois Veterans Home LaSalle and nearly 580 pairs of socks to the Illinois Veterans Home Quincy to be given to veterans residing there.


Mount Vernon, IL, Lodge members visited the Illinois Veterans Home Anna and treated about 20 veterans to bingo games, refreshments, and gift boxes containing toiletries, reading materials, decks of cards, and small clothing items. Lodge members also helped veteran Roy Hartline celebrate his 100th birthday and treated him and the other veterans to slices of birthday cake.


Lake Taneycomo, MO, Lodge donated 20 Christmas gifts to the Missouri Veterans Home Mount Vernon to be given to veterans at the home. In other news, the lodge donated nearly 210 deer hides to the Elks Veterans Leather Program, which processes hides into craft kits and fingerless leather gloves for wheel- chair users. Lodge members also gave six pairs of fingerless leather gloves to

veterans residing at the Missouri Veterans Home Mount Vernon.


Sparks, NV, Lodge members and ladies auxiliary members visited the Reno VA medical facility and gave Christmas cards and canteen books to 60 veterans residing there.


Keene, NH, Lodge held a Veterans Breakfast and treated more than 120 local veterans and their guests to a meal. Lodge members also gave each veteran a star that had been cut from a retired US flag.


Flemington, NJ, Lodge members, accompanied by Santa Claus, visited more than 50 veterans residing in three area nursing homes and gave each of them a gift.


West Milford, NJ, Lodge members treated more than 50 veterans from the Montrose, NY, VA medical facility to breakfast at the lodge followed by bingo games.


Las Cruces, NM, Lodge donated more than 200 books and magazines, as well as board games to the New Mexico Veterans Home for use by veterans residing there.


Las Vegas, NM, Lodge members visited the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute and gave cards and candy to 27 veterans residing there.


Clifton Park, NY, Lodge hosted a Veterans Christmas Party at the lodge


and treated five veterans residing at the Ellis Residential and Rehabilita- tion Center nursing facility and four veterans from the Albany VA Medical Center: Samuel S. Stratton to break- fast at the lodge and gave each veteran a goody bag. Lodge members also gave the veterans from Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center an electronic gaming system to use at their facility. In related news, lodge members and ladies auxiliary members, accompa- nied by players from the Shenen- dehowa Varsity Lacrosse team, visited the Albany VA Medical Center: Samuel S. Stratton, treated about 20 veterans residing there to a meal, and gave each of them a goody bag. The lodge also donated a TV and an electronic gaming system mounted on a cart to the center to be used by veterans being treated there. Lodge members, ladies auxiliary members, and lacrosse players also visited about 20 more veterans in their rooms and gave each of them a goody bag.


Glens Falls, NY, Lodge members visited the Albany VA Medical Center: Samuel S. Stratton and treated 200 veterans and staff members to dessert. The lodge also donated about 60 books and several music CDs and audio books to the center.


Hicksville, NY, Lodge members attended the inauguration of a monument honoring veteran Peter Bopp, who was killed in a peacetime accident on April 19, 1989, and was
