Anniston, AL, Lodge members distrib- uted nearly 2,100 dictionaries to third- grade students in area schools.
Buckeye, AZ, Lodge hosted a Battle of the Books Contest, in which teams of students competed to answer ques- tions about three books they had read, for a total of ten students from Rainbow Valley and Arlington Elementary Schools. Lodge members gave a gift card to each of the seven members of the victorious Rainbow Valley team and treated the contes- tants and their families to dessert.
Kingman, AZ, Lodge members honored the winners of their Americanism Essay Contest in a ceremony at the lodge and gave each of them a collect- ible toy car, a certificate, and a letter of congratulations. The lodge received 41 entries from fifth- through eighth-

The winners of the fifth- and sixth-grade division included Pawanpreet Kaur of Palo Christi Elementary School and Benjamin Maguire and Gage Plummer of La Senita School, while the winners of the seventh- and eighth-grade division included Aidan Perea, Julianna Smith, and Sydney Suther- land of White Cliffs Middle School.
Sedona, AZ, Lodge members distrib- uted dictionaries to more than 140 third-grade students in four elemen- tary schools. Lodge members also accompanied 38 children on a shop- ping trip and helped them shop for $100 worth of clothes each.
In other news, lodge members shipped 60 boxes of supplies to US troops serving overseas.
Yuma, AZ, Lodge, in cooperation with the local Humane Society, used a $9,800 ENF Impact Grant to inaugu- rate the Fixing Yuma’s Ferals Project, in which lodge members, after train- ing with the Humane Society, cap- tured about 200 feral cats, took them to the Humane Society for steriliza- tion, and then re-released them.
