Las Cruces, NM, Lodge members attended a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Joseph Peet, of lodge-sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 64, and gave him a certificate and a US flag. For his Eagle Scout Project, Peet put up a fence at the Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary. Calvert, MD, Lodge members awarded a four-year, $2,000 scholarship each to Calvert High School student Chelsea Kahn-Deere and Patuxent High School student Thomas Scott and a two-year, $1,000 Past Exalted Rulers Scholarship to Calvert High School student Jessica Seay. Lodge members also presented a $2,000 Maryland, Delaware and District of Columbia Elks Association scholarship to Kahn- Deere, a $1,000 state association scholarship to Scott, and a $1,000 state association scholarship each to Patuxent High School student Alexis Balinski and Calvert High School student Edward Bryner.

Herrin, IL, Lodge donated a $1,000 ENF Gratitude Grant to the William- son County Children’s Advocacy Center, which assists minors who are victims of physical and sexual abuse.


Illinois Elks Association members mailed 700 boxes of supplies to US troops serving overseas.

Skowhegan-Madison, ME, Lodge held an Elks National Foundation Banquet fund-raiser and raised more than $3,000 for the Elks National Foundation.


Washington-Rockville, MD, Lodge members shipped 12 packages of Christmas gifts to US troops serving in combat zones overseas.


Westminster, MD, Lodge members honored 70 donors who had donated to the lodge’s Fletcher Falcone Golf Tournament fund-raiser and treated them to dinner and a chance to hear from people who had benefited from lodge programs.


Falmouth, MA, Lodge held its sixth annual Crock Pot Cook-Off fund-raiser and raised $940 for lodge scholarships.
