Elks National Veterans Service Commission
Sedona, AZ, Lodge members treated nine veterans from the Phoenix VA medical facility to dinner at the lodge.
Canoga Park, CA, Lodge members, accompanied by Santa Claus, visited the Sepulveda VA medical facility and gave each of 38 veterans a gift that he or she had requested. Lodge members also distributed 60 tins containing candy, cookies, and toiletries to veterans at the facility.
Sunnyvale, CA, Lodge members treated more than 100 veterans from VA medical facilities in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and San Jose to a Christmas dinner at the lodge.
Van Nuys-Reseda, CA, Lodge mem- bers treated 32 veterans and two caregivers from the Sepulveda VA medical facility to dinner and live musical entertainment and gave the veterans decorated holiday boxes containing candy and notes written by Ernest Lawrence Middle School students. Lodge members also deliv- ered 170 Valentine’s Day cards made by Ernest Lawrence Middle School students and Antlers Program members to veterans at the Sepulveda VA medical facility.
Fort Walton, FL, Lodge hosted a performance by Re-Creation USA, a traveling performing group that puts on USO-style variety shows at VA hospitals around the country. More than 250 people attended the show, including 37 veterans from the community who attended free of charge. Lodge members also treated the members of Re-Creation to a dolphin-viewing trip.

was purchased by the Elks National Veterans Service Commission, to the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center for use by veterans at the center’s nursing facility.
Hollywood West, FL, Lodge hosted 19 veterans from the Alexander Sandy Nininger State Veterans Nursing Home at the lodge’s Pre–New Year Dinner and treated them to a meal, live musical entertainment, and a variety of mementos, including coins, pins, banners, and hats representing each branch of the US military. Lodge members also visited the home and held a Holiday Party at which they treated 20 veterans to refreshments. The lodge also donated a new card table to the home.
Zephyrhills, FL, Lodge donated $500 to Tampa Crossroads, an organization that offers mental health counseling, to support its Veterans Counseling Program. The lodge also donated $500 to the James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa to support its programs for homeless veterans.
Hawaii District, HI, lodges donated $600 to the Palo Alto VA medical facility to help patients attend the 25th National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic.
Pearl City, HI, Lodge, using part of a $10,000 ENF Impact Grant, held a Christmas at Kalaeloa Party. Lodge members helped the 150 homeless veterans staying at the US VETS
