MEDIA WATCH: Fallout: New Vegas
The buzz behind the biggest games of the moment
“The question of whether New Vegascould convince those that so far haven't been keen on the series is a difficult one. The focus is still on immersion and exploration, and despite concessions for action nuts, those looking for shallow shooter thrills are still best catered for elsewhere.” Jack Arnott
12 October 29th 2010
“If you never quite ‘got’ Fallout 3, New Vegas won’t be the epiphany that shows you what you’ve been missing. But for anyone who adored the frantic post-apocalyptic, choose-your-own-path vibe of the original sprawling stunner, this is one hell of a kickass homecoming.” Francesca Reyes
“Fallout: New Vegasis the game that many wanted Fallout 3to be. It’s harder, better written and more morally ambiguous. It’s a game we’ve been wanting to play for more than a decade, a real modern re- imagining of the Fallout series, complete with deliciously black humour.“ Keza MacDonald
“New Vegaswon’t help Obsidian to shake its reputation as a purveyor of technically flawed but theoretically excellent sequels to other studios’ games but it’s difficult to conceive of anyone who loved Bethesda’s re- imagined universe feeling any differently about this.” Nameless Staff Writer
