Founded just under 30 years ago by Geoff Chutter in Canada, WhiteWater West has grown extensively in this time.
Starting with just 20 employees in the early days it now has over 400 employees, many of whom have been with the manufacturer for over 25 years.
Fortunate to be part of many interesting projects over the years, such as Atlantis Resort on Palm Island in Dubai, Wet ‘n’ Wild in Phoenix, Arizona, Ocean World at Vivaldi Resort in Korea and Hershey Park in Pennsylvania, US, WhiteWater West is well placed to comment on industry trends.

The manufacturer told InterPark that the recession has had a massive impact on the market in North America. However, as an international company it has the advantage of working with clients all over the world – and not only is it a manufacturer of waterpark attractions, it also offers waterpark design and provides other products and services too. Because of the recession families are staying closer to home so waterpark venues are continuing to be a great family destination.
According to WhiteWater West, operators are also looking for attractions to differentiate them from the competition and it is therefore necessary for its new product ranges to do just that.
