Pax Company
Pax Company Ltd, based in Russia, has been active in business since 1988, and within the international market since 1993, and is made up of specialists with considerable working experience in the aerospace industry. The company’s speciality is the calculation, design and manufacture of sophisticated machinery, space programme equipment, spatial metallic structures, amusement rides and building construction.
Pax co-operates closely with the technical supervision agencies such as the Central Research Insititute of Building Constructions (Russia) and TÜV Nord (Essen, Germany) and its production is certified in compliance with European standards.
Projects
Pax has completed a variety of amusement ride projects over the years. Among these have been several Panoramic Wheels, including the Moscow-850 wheel, a 90m wheel at Mirabilandia in Italy and an 80m wheel on the roof of a building for the Lotte Corporation in South Korea.
Pax is also known for building roller coasters and has completed projects in both Russia and Kazakhstan with a maximum height of 46m, these being the tallest such rides in the CIS. Other coaster projects have been installed in Saudi Arabia, France (Parc Saint-Paul) and Austria (Erlebnispark) and in total over 170 major rides have been produced by the company and installed around the world.
More recent projects to be completed by Pax include a Cobra roller coaster at the All-Russia Exhibiton Centre, where the company owns an amusement park, and another coaster at ConnyLand in Switzerland. Additionally, it is currently working on several new projects for new rides, including Panoramic Wheels of 150m and 200m in height.
As well as designing and manufacturing rides, Pax is also a developer of the Russian RF laws, the technical regulations for the safety of machinery and amusement rides and national standards for the safety of amusement rides GOST 29166, GOST 52170 and GOST 53130.
It is also a base organisation for TC 427 (the technical committee for the safety of amusement rides) and the ISO committee (safety of machinery).
Outside the amusement ride industry, the company’s recent developments have included a mobile service gantry for the Soyuz-ST launcher at the space pad in French Guiana and other equipment for the European Space Agency.
