HONG Kong-based Pico Far East Holdings has been awarded a contract from Incheon Robot Land Company for the development of the world’s first-of-its-kind robot theme park. As previously reported by InterPark, upon


completion Incheon Robot Land will be the world’s first robot theme park with exhibition halls, robot experience halls, learning facilities and entertainment facilities. Pico has been appointed as the sole creative


director and project manager for the whole schematic design of Robot Land. The first phase of construction has already commenced and the park is scheduled to open in 2013.

A CHINESE investment team is looking to develop a New Zealand theme park in China, reports suggest. According to 3 News, construction of New


Zealand Gardens, located south of Beijing, is underway. It is hoped the park, set on 25sq km of land, will attract millions of visitors each year.

rock climbing, a gondola and luge, while visitors will also experience New Zealand’s agriculture with a vineyard, a kiwi fruit orchard and dairy farm, along with a golf course which will feature luxury accommodation.


Attendance flat for Disney Tokyo


TOKYO Disney Resort has reported a slight drop in projected visitor numbers to its Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea Park venues for fiscal 2010. The combined attendance at both sites was


25.8 million, up 0.9 per cent - or 218,000 visitors - on the figure estimated at the beginning of the fiscal year. While the results represent a five per cent dip


on last year, it trumped analysts’ expectations, and remains the second highest in the group’s history.
