C and S
Established in late 1993, C. and S. srl began producing bumper cars in the summer of the following year, since when it has gradually widened its product range and increased its presence within the marketplace.
Today, the company’s catalogue includes six full-size, adult bumper car models, two of which are equipped with the popular shock absorbing chassis; four medium sized models, with three new models under development; and three mini size models, with a fourth one recently completed for an amusement park overseas.
Bumper cars remain the core business for the company, which supplies the vehicles to amusement parks and travelling showmen across Europe, with a significant presence in southern Spain and, of course, Italy. Expansion into the production the tracks for bumper cars has subsequently been a natural evolution for C. and S.
But it is not just bumper cars that the company has produced. During the decade from 2000 to 2010, C. and S. has also been involved in the manufacture of other attractions too. In the year 2000 it produced two large trains on rail for one of the biggest theme parks in Italy, Gardaland, these featuring two diesel-hydraulic engines, two coaches adapted to
accommodate wheelchairs and 10 regular coaches, which operate on the 1km long railway track of the Gardaland Express.
In the spring of 2006, a family attraction named Las Llamas was delivered to Parque Isla Magica in Seville, Spain. This features eight, real-life size, electrically powered, fibreglass Llamas, each one capable of carrying one adult and one child. And it has proved very successful, carrying over 170,000 passengers in its first season.
For 2010, currently in the pipeline are a new midi bumper car for an amusement park in Russia and several indoor bumper car tracks with themed midi cars, for indoor venues in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia.
