OmniTicket Network, part of the Best Union Group, is a system developer, integrator and consultant specialising in turnkey solutions for ticketing, access control, reservations, pre-sales, Internet sales, retail point-of-sale and inventory control operations.
With a comprehensive, integrated approach to venue management, OmniTicket has been at the forefront of the industry since 1986, with a client base that includes theme parks, zoos, theatres, museums, cultural venues, exhibitions and all types of visitor attraction around the world.
Currently, the company’s systems are installed in over 23 countries worldwide in a diverse mix of hundreds of venues. In April 2009, OmniTicket Network and Best Union Company merged to create one of the top five ticketing companies in the world. With US$30 million in annual revenue, Best Union is now responsible for delivering more than 300 million tickets worldwide, every year.
Products OmniTicket Network recently debuted the state-of-the-art ticketing technology, Best Overview Solution, a next-generation software product which provides an unique framework for managing all types of venue, in a multi-tier environment, with a built-in infrastructure for real-time, worldwide ticket distribution. In addition to the new technology, OmniTicket Network now also offers a range of new services as a result of its recent merger with Best Union Group. This includes comprehensive staffing services for all aspects related to the communication, promotion and sponsorship of events.
Projects In order to penetrate further into the Middle East market, OmniTicket, as part of the Best Union Group, has partnered with Austrian company Gantner and the first project to come about as a result of this new alliance is with Play Nation, an area inside one of the most important shopping malls, Mirdiff City Centre in Dubai. Dedicated entirely to the entertainment of all age groups, it is a property of the Majid Al Futtaim Leisure Group (MAF).
OmniTicket has also recently installed a complete access control solution, with online sales, assigned seating and many other features, at WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge, US. The new Overview system allows WonderWorks to sell tickets online or at the gate, while a biometric access option helps prevent fraud by assigning each guest ticket with a randomly generated, biometrically controlled number. The system also
allows the venue to sell tickets and assign seating for its Hoot N’ Holler dinner show and integrate with its F & B and inventory control processes.
Additionally, and in time for the opening of its 2010 season, Dollywood’s Splash Country in the US is the first OmniTicket client to install all-new, “turn free,” “touch free” entrance gates. These magnetic, retractable gates improve guest accessibility, streamline the park’s front entrance operations and integrate seamlessly with its ticketing system. The park has six of the new MPR-112 “batwing” gates this year with more planned for Dollywood theme park in 2011. Three of the gates are configured for standards access while the other three are spaced wide enough to accommodate guests in wheelchairs and strollers. All of the gates are custom-coloured to integrate with the park’s main entrance theme. A light beam across each gate prevents the retractable wings from inadvertently closing on a person or other obstruction. The system is
fully customisable for each client’s needs.
