AQUATICS A NOTE FROM THE YMCA AQUATICS DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the East County Family YMCA aquatics family. Our aquatics department has a variety of programs available for all ages and skill levels.
The Y has been teaching people to swim for over 100 years! Program participants are taught skills that will allow them to enjoy aquatic activities throughout their lives. These include personal safety, stroke development, survival and rescue skills as well as water sports and games. The program content is based on the concept of developing a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Quality and effectiveness is continually evaluated and designed to meet the needs of the parents and participants.
Our staff is dedicated to the safety of our members and participants at our facility. Our lifeguard and swim instructor staff maintain nationally recognized certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration, Swim Instructor Trainings and First Aid for Public Safety Personnel. Our dedicated lifeguard staff are on duty during all pool operational hours for your safety.
