“My interest in the show comes from my
side interest in my work in marine science
education. I’ve always been a science freak
so a lot of the ideas in the show are from
past experiences in tide pools when I used
to work at Marine Science Education Cen-
ter teaching kids about the sea and whale
watching. But I had my own interests in
surfing, pop culture, music and those sorts
of things. They’ve sort of collided with my
interest in animation and the result is the
show”.
