£3.5M BUSINESS SCHOOL IN NE WALES L


eading corporate furniture provider Penketh Group has worked with Coleg Cambria to create its prestigious new Business School in North East Wales. Coleg Cambria Northop is one of the largest professional development providers in the region and has undergone a significant investment programme to create a sector leading business school.


Cambria Business School is a purpose built £3.5m modern learning environment set in breath-taking surroundings. It will officially open on December 4.


More than 1,500 students are expected to use the Business School every year and on offer will be degree level courses, professional development courses and business training.


The brand new building includes an impressive atrium with relaxed, social


seating, coffee tables and statement lounge sofas and benches. Highback wing armchairs provide an element of privacy for conversations and time-out in social spaces while sleek upholstered dining chairs and tables reflect the vogue to bring home interiors into the workspace. Graham Evans, Capital Build Project Manager of Coleg Cambria, said: “We are delighted with the high standard of furniture solutions provided by Penketh Group. We wanted to give our interiors a hotel look and feel and the furniture has really complimented the building. “Creating interesting and flexible spaces that encourage interaction and active learning is important to us and the response to the new furniture from staff and students has been great. “With its abundance of natural light, digital facilities and interactive spaces, we believe that this building represents the future of learning.” Paul Mann, Furniture Project Director of

has taken a new 25-year lease on a 2,800 sq.ft retail unit on the ground floor of the new Tudno Point development.


Opus North, the leading Yorkshire property developer and investor, is developing Tudno Point with local landowners Mostyn Estates. This flagship retail and leisure scheme in Mostyn Broadway and Vaughan Street feature a new 63-bed hotel, with an additional five restaurant and retail units. Tudno Point will link the town centre

This a resounding endorsement of the development and a major boost to the local economy and to Llandudno’s retail and leisure offering.” The once-proud Tudno Castle Hotel has fallen into disrepair and has not been occupied for several years. “Work had started on site and was


scheduled to be completed by the winter of next year but, due to structural issues on the retention of the façade, work has been delayed. Further planning permission from the local authority is required, which is in the process of being formalised,” explained Mr Duncan. “The completed development will


feature a 63-bed Premier Inn, together with three new-build restaurants, namely Prezzo, Pizza Express and Beefeater. We have had strong interest in the final two units of 4,465 sq.ft and 1,400 sq.ft. “With a 15-month building programme, the development is scheduled to be completed in 2019. This is a very important regeneration project for Llandudno and, both during construction and when finished, will

Llandudno is spectacularly located on the Irish Sea, with the Snowdonia mountain range in the distance. It is one of the most beautiful coastal resorts in the UK.
