Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport
with its sleek, low profile coupé-like appearance. The Insignia Grand Sport model which we tested incorporated dynamic performance and low running costs, with a combined MPG of up to 70.6. It seems reductive to call this a company car because it’s so much more. However, if you’re looking for a car from which you can practically run your business then Insignia is certainly worth your very serious consideration. There’s an excellent touchscreen display, smartphone projection and voice activated satnav to ensure you stay connected and on track. It has a great hands-free phone facility and you can even stay relaxed by requesting music playlists with phone voice-control. There’s also a fully integrated 4G Wi-Fi Hotspot for fast online access. We especially enjoyed the Insignia cockpit, which gives you a very comfortable driving position and even offers seat massage and ventilation options. Vauxhall have created an excellent interior design for more space, helping you to relax when the pressure is on. To help
you stay organised, Insignia provides great storage ideas for your essentials, as well as spilt-folding rear seats for larger loads, luggage and equipment. As we said at the outset, the Insignia is a very attractive luxury saloon and it’s beautifully enhanced by a range of distinctive alloy wheel designs, just one of many design flourishes which makes the Insignia truly desirable. Of course, work isn’t always on the
executive level. Sometimes there’s heavy lifting to do. Enter the Vauxhall Vivaro, with its payload up to 1280kg, cubic capacity up to 8.6 cubic metres, low loading-height of 552mm. The mighty 1.6 CDTi 16V engine at the top of the range delivers power od 145PS and 340 Nm of torque, making it an assertive and easy to handle vehicle, even when fully laden. It can accommodate 8 x 4 ply and three Euro- pallets and easily accommodate lengths of up to 4150mm. And when it comes to economy, Vivaro boasts a competitive combined fuel consumption of 47.0mpg and 155g/km CO2. However, along with its
strength and cargo-carrying credentials this commercial vehicle is furnished with the kind of technology and comfort features you might expect to see on many high-end saloons. It has 7-inch colour touchscreen Bluetooth and USB connectivity as well as digital radio as standard, and the superb phone port allows smartphones with a screen size of up to 4.7 inches to be securely mounted within easy sight and reach. Specifically designed for Vivaro’s cab, the Navi 50 unit offers drivers accurate and affordable navigation. We tested the double-cab model, which was light and spacious, provided great comfort levels for rear passengers and still had acres of space in the rear for all your commercial and business needs. The Vauxhall Mokka X is available from £17, 900, the Zafira Tourer starts at £19, 530, the Insignia ST is a snip at £17, 185 and the Vivaro can be yours for £21, 848. To find out more visit
